Francesco Bellini

Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Having served on boards of various public and private companies, Dr. Bellini was a board member of Molson Inc. from 1997 to 2005 and served on the audit and finance committee, the environment, health and safety committee and the human resources and pension fund committee. Dr. Bellini has been chairman and chief executive officer of Neurochem Inc., a leading Canadian biopharmaceutical company, since 2002. He is also chairman of Picchio Pharma Inc., Innodia Inc., Adaltis Inc., and ViroChem Pharma Inc. Dr. Bellini’s additional management experience includes his tenure as chairman & chief executive officer and co-founder of Biochem Pharma (now Shire-Biochem) from 1986 to 2001. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a PhD in 1977 and has authored or co-authored more than 20 patents over his 20-year career as a research scientist.
